Good to know
Two of our three instructors receive a modest salary, funded by donations (though, unfortunately, we can’t always pay them on time each month, but we strive to do our best). The third instructor is still a student and volunteers her time whenever she can, dedicating her efforts to educating the women and children at our center.
Our director, his partner, and our cook serve as volunteers and do not currently receive a salary. However, they live and eat at the center, which provides them with room and board. The director's family resides in a house adjacent to the center. They are self-sufficient and do not rely on donations; in fact, they contribute significantly to the center's sustainability. They often bring fresh produce from their own garden and generously donate a goat every year at Christmas to ensure a festive celebration for the women and children. Their unwavering support and generosity are the foundation upon which Abandoned Women was built, as they provided the land where the center now stands.
The founder strives to support the center as much as possible from abroad and makes regular visits, as maintaining transparency is a top priority. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out:
